Customizing Bullets and Numbering

From the "Format | Bullets and Numbering" screen, click the [Customize] button and you will see all the properties with which you can customize every level of a bulleted or numbered list. A preview screen on the right will show you how your finished list will appear in the editor. Each option is explained below in detail.

Levels

You can control up to nine levels. When editing, you can use the Increase/Decrease Indent toolbar button to move between levels. As you click on each level the List properties, image and text position properties and preview will change.

List Properties

Use the drop down arrow to select from a standard bulleted or numbered list or an image. The bullet option will display some standard bullets to choose from. The standard numbers will then allow you to select the level and font. The image option allows you to select an image. But remember, custom image lists will not work in WinHelp.

Image Position

You can align left, center or right. The "at:" field allows you to set the position, which is especially important for sub-levels and for large images.

Text Position

Here you set the indent levels for left and first line indent.
