Keyboard Shortcuts

Most of the keyboard shortcuts in Fast-Help are similar to those found in the popular word processors, with a few exceptions. Below is a list of the keyboard shortcuts found in Fast-Help.


F1

Help

F4

Create a link from the currently selected text.

F7

Spell Checks the help text.

F8

Compile.

F9

Toggles focus between the list of Topics/Popups on the left of the screen and the Help Text editor on the right.

F10

Moves the focus to the Menus.

F11

Moves to the Next Topic/Popup.

F12

Moves to the Previous Topic/Popup.

Shift+F7

Thesaurus.

Ctrl+A

Select All.

Ctrl+B

Format text as Bold.

Ctrl+C

Copies the currently selected text to the clipboard.

Ctrl+D

Delete the current Topic or Popup.

Ctrl+F

Find.

Ctrl+H

Replace.

Ctrl+I

Format text as Italic.

Ctrl+N

Add a new Topic or Popup.

Ctrl+U

Format text as Underline.

Ctrl+V

Pastes the contents of the clipboard.

Ctrl+X

Cuts the currently selected text to the clipboard.

Ctrl+Y

Redoes the last change that was undone.

Ctrl+Z

Undoes the last change to the help text.

Ctrl+Alt+V

Pastes the contents of the clipboard as Plain Text, removing all formatting.
