Fast-Help supports Unicode. Unicode has many advantages, the main one is that you don't have to worry about fonts and character sets. But, you need to have a Unicode enabled operating system like Windows 2000 and XP, and a Unicode font. It makes creating help files in any language very easy. But, your customer also needs to have Unicode enabled machines to see your help files. So, until everyone has Unicode we need to worry about fonts and character sets. But the future is Unicode.
To convert your current page to Unicode, select "Format | Convert to Unicode". You will see a small red icon appear in the status bar at the bottom of your screen. This tells you that the current page is Unicode enabled.
